Like its predecessor, Sniper Elite (2005), has the same date and place, the Battle of Berlin in April-May 1945. But now his main character, Karl Fairburne, an American officer OSS must capture or kill the scientists involved in the program German V2 rockets .
Gameplay offers both a player (mission or challenge), so cooperative and multiplayer . Unlike many games of this style in Sniper Elite V2 is used stealth rather than brute force. Fairburne uses different types of weapons like 5 sniper rifles , submachine guns , pistols , grenades , mines , stones, etc. The player will face DECISIONS, such as choosing between making a perfect shot to discover their position or seek a more difficult route that will allow them to continue their ongoing mission. A major feature of this title is the realistic ballistics offered, where factors such as wind speed, gravity and affect other bullets should even pause and breath to aim better.
Also new is the “Kill Cam” a view mode that is activated when making a shot particularly extreme, following the trajectory of the bullet in slow motion until it penetrates the enemy’s body inside which is shown for see cause damage to organs and bones. Other new features include the ability to mark enemies to highlight its position with destination information, and outlined white figure that marks the point where the enemy soldiers spotted the last player to enable him to make his escape. You also have the opportunity to get new weapons as you progress through each mission and select them in your inventory before each game missions.
