The player controls a spaceship equipped with engines above-Luminary pulse (hence Faster Than Light : “Faster than light”) belonging to the Galactic Federation, which is on the verge of collapse after losing the war against rebel forces. The crew that control the player intercepted data from the rebel fleet containing information that may well cause panic among the rebels and ensure the victory of the Federation. The goal is to reach the headquarters of the Federation, lying several areas of your location, while avoiding to let you catch up by the rebels who relentlessly pursue you. After the last sector, the goal is to destroy the rebel flagship before it captured the headquarters of the federation.
The game can be defined as a roguelike each party randomly generates a number of events for the player. The events are varied, the ransom to the quest; each decision can be rewarded, provoke a confrontation, damaging the ship or lose a teammate. Until the possibilities of choice of sectors, the game randomly generates the choices the player knowing that it can influence by its equipment and courses.
