Red Faction: Armageddon is a video game genre shooter in third person developed by Volition, Inc. and published by THQ . It is the fourth installment of the series Red Faction , and was released for Microsoft Windows , PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 , in various countries around the world between June 7 and June 10, 2011. Poor sales resulted the decision to THQ to stop making games in the franchise Red Faction and negatively affected the financial quarter. 2Series rights are now owned by Nordic Games .

Red Faction: Armageddon focuses on a world with destructible environments. The player must reclaim cultist fortifications on the disastrous and devastated surface of the planet and defend colonists from hostile Martian creatures in the ancient mines and chasms beneath it to achieve cleansing infestations from all structures.
